ELECTED (2024): State Rep. Joseph Sanchez, New Mexico

Joseph Sanchez is a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 40. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on December 31, 2024.

Sanchez is running for re-election to the New Mexico House of Representatives to represent District 40. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Democratic primary on June 4, 2024.

Joseph Sanchez earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico, an M.B.A. from New Mexico State University, and an M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico. His career experience includes working as an electrical engineer and engineering manager with Los Alamos National Laboratory and as the general manager and CEO of the Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative.
