David Tikoian is a member of the Rhode Island State Senate, representing District 22. He assumed office on January 3, 2023. His current term ends on January 7, 2025.

Tikoian is running for re-election to the Rhode Island State Senate to represent District 22. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Democratic primary on September 10, 2024.

David Tikoian lives in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Tikoian graduated from Smithfield High School in 1986. He earned an associate degree from the Community College of Rhode Island in 1988, a B.S. in business administration from Bryant University in 1990, and graduated from the Rhode Island State Police Academy in 1992. His career experience includes working for the State Police, rising to the rank of Major/chief administrative officer; as chief of the North Providence Police Department, and as director of transmission and distribution and deputy general manager for the Providence Water Supply Board. Tikoian served on the Smithfield Town Council from 2020 to 2022.
