Russell Holmes is a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 6th Suffolk District. He assumed office in 2011. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.

Holmes is running for re-election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives to represent the 6th Suffolk District. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Democratic primary on September 3, 2024.

Holmes has served as chair of the Mattapan Library Task Force and the Mattapan Economic Development Initiative.
